About
UnityHelp was founded by Abdelaziz Mansour, a Sudanese humanitarian leader with direct experience of displacement and of humanitarian response. It was built because the tools available to the organisations responding in Sudan were made for large agencies, in English, for offices with reliable internet, and because a referral made on paper is a referral nobody follows up.
UnityHelp is not a UN agency and is not part of any other organisation. Its design has been shaped by engagement with UNICEF's accountability-to-affected-people work, UN Women and UNHCR.
UnityHelp, Inc. is registered in Delaware, USA, as a social enterprise. A Kenyan non-profit is being registered to hold the humanitarian programme. The company has resolved in writing that the platform stays free for humanitarian organisations, that the majority of any profit is reinvested in it, and that no person's data is ever sold, shared with a third party or used to train a model.
